Rihanna is the new face of the 2008 Gucci UNICEF Campaign.
The multi-platinum award winning artist will feature in a campaign called "Tattoo Heart".
The campaign will have special-edition Gucci products bearing a tattoo-style heart motif on offer, with 25 percent of sales to be donated to UNICEF program that supports supports education, healthcare protection and clean water programs for orphans and children affected with HIV/AIDS in sub-Saharan Africa.
The Gucci UNICEF partnership has been active since 2004 and this year, the campaign will again benefit children in Malawi and Mozambique.
The products are already on the shelves as part of a holiday release and the campaign will last until January 31, 2009.
I went to the New York flagship store on Fifth Avenue for the November 19 collection launch and took these pictures .

At the New York event, Gucci creative director Frida Giannini, said:
"It' s a permanent mark that you can wear with pride and that stays with you. This represents our ongoing commitment to the incredible work that UNICEF is able to achieve. It's our chance to give back"
And if it's all about giving back this season, might as well do it in style, don't you think?
