" " In his blue gardens, girls came and went like moths among the whisperings and the champagne and the stars"

-F Scott Fitzgerald

Like the beautiful flower embellished dress worn by Margherita Missoni,  last weekend when she married her racing car driver fiancé Eugenio Amos, designed  by Margherita herself, with guidance from her mother Angela and close friend Giambattista Vali and inspired by an image she had saved from a magazine 15 years ago, I believe that a dreamed dress solution comes from the moment you connect with the essence of who you truly are and where you are coming from.

Margherita's dress  is a pure example, it was made by a local dressmaker from Missoni's hometown of Brunello using Missoni silk and organza and was worn with a silver tiara. In the evening, the new Mrs Amos changed into a blush pink version of her wedding gown, worn with a daisy-chain headpiece.

The ceremony took place at the church of Santa Maria Annunciata, in Brunello followed by a reception at Angela Missoni's nearby estate, where guests including the entire Missoni clan, Carine Roitfeld, Charlotte Olympia Della, Franca Sozzani and Mario Testino enjoyed entertainment from a gypsy band, acrobats and a fortune teller.

On a similar  Summer note,  Inspired by American Writer F- Scott Fitzgerald luxe parties self-taught skill of pattern making and draping combined with learning from watching her Mother sew, American designer Carol Hannah showcases this season the most elegant bridal collection for Spring 2013.

Although CH moved to New York City in 2008, she still finds inspiration in her South Carolina roots and strives to infuse classic southern charm and grace in her designs. Carol Hannah’s design aesthetic combines whimsy with organic details – raw edges and fabric handwork that seems to grow out of the fabric itself. For Carol Hannah, design is all about how the fabric speaks to her, how her environment inspires her, and how the ever-changing pieces take shape.

" I love the images he paints of his characters in these lush garden celebrations. I can see the twinkling stars, the glint of champagne glasses, the breeze flowing softly through layers of chiffon." affirms  Carol on the launching.
The smooth lines and gentle touch of her fabrics seem to transport us softly into  Scott's  novel ' Tender is the Night"  the one I have been reading over and over again under a same  blue -and- white striped umbrella in South of France Riviera  by the Mediterranean sea,  years ago,  while intensely day-dreaming about the perfect bridal dress.
