The Yves Saint Laurent, a visionary exhibition opened on 30 January 2013 and running until May 5th in the ING Cultural Centre, Place Royale in Brussels. This exclusive exhibition is a first: ING Belgium shows, for the first time, how Yves Saint Laurent’s designs and concepts have radically changed the world of fashion, turning it into what it is today. The exhibition focuses on the visionary power of this flamboyant designer. Brussels’ vibrant, cosmopolitan atmosphere and multicultural beat make it much more than simply the administrative hub of Europe. For all its gastronomical gems, architecture, and art, the city keeps a relatively low profile. I have created the perfect itinerary in the city’s historical center to relish it’s legendary landmarks, cobbled streets, old theaters and traditional shops.

At the Rue d’Anjou in the infamous 8th arrondiss At the Rue d’Anjou in the infamous 8th arrondissement of Paris, the good folks from Blackcode and Moma linked up to create RAN, a contemporary Japanese restaurant tinted with shades of French gastronomy. It will make your mouth water faster than you can spell the three letters in its name. The modern establishment is still young and full of surprises. The first of which is its décor and setting, coupled with a chic and modern sense of design and equanimity. Nothing ever feels cold at RAN, especially this summer, since the restaurant will be presenting its very first summer menu. To make sure the place looked like the sleek ambition we can find in the kitchen, MOMA and Blackcode reached out to interior architect Tristan Auer. The mind behind the interior design and feel of Parisian landmarks like Les Bains, Astair, or the Hotel de Crillon has brought a modern twist, with pop and neon accents, in a very typical setting....#japanesecuisine #japanesefusionrestaurant #parisrestaurant #pariswithjoelle #parissoffdeco23 #tristanauer

De Gournay’s Paris showroom at 15 Rue des Saints De Gournay’s Paris showroom at 15 Rue des Saints Peres, in the left bank enclave of St. Germain has for over a decade been a celebrated locale and a well-known face for the company. After a year-long programme of works, the interior has been transformed into a revived showcase of our hand painted and hand embroidered wall coverings: A recessed seating area at the rear of the showroom is the ideal setting for ‘Voyage of the Pacific’, hand painted onto an antiqued background of Deep Rich Gold. A gilded glimpse of faraway lands, depicting seafaring adventures along tropical coastlines, atop a custom-made banquette constructed for the space by Dudgeon sofas, upholstered in Clarence House fabric.

Great fun discovering the recently launched “ Ki Great fun discovering the recently launched “ Kiss” collection, designed by object and furniture designer Sebastian Bergne. It’s a family of compact upholstered pieces gathered around a carefully proportioned small armchair. Generous volumes barely touch to form delicately balanced, almost sensual, yet functional compositions. It is these arrangements of form that challenge our expected construction of furniture and become exceptional. This project is part of the recent development of upholstered furniture projects by Pierre Frey in collaboration with various international designers under the art direction of Sam Barron.#pierefrey #frenchdesign #parisoffdeco
