What personal data we collect and why
Contact forms
When you use a contact form on this site, we collect the details you enter (such as your name, email address and message) so we can reply. We use them only to answer your enquiry.
Newsletter
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address (and your name, if you give it) through our sign-up service, MailMunch, to send you the newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every email.
Comments
Comments are turned off on this site, so we do not collect comment data.
Cookies
This site uses cookies. Some are needed for the site to work, for example to remember that you accepted our cookie notice. Others are set by the analytics service and affiliate partners described below. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the site may not work as intended if you do.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are read and how visitors arrive. Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the site (our web host, Google for analytics, our newsletter provider MailMunch and our email delivery service), and only as needed for them to provide those services.
How long we keep your data
Contact form messages are kept as long as needed to answer and follow up on your enquiry. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is kept for the retention period set in Google Analytics.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by writing to hello@joellemagazine.com. This does not include data we must keep for legal, administrative or security reasons.
Where your data is sent
Our service providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States.
